Main Street Farmers Market is the only food-focused farmers market located in Chattanooga. This local, sustainable, vendor-run market is open once again every Wednesday from 4 PM to 6 PM. For the foreseeable future, they ask that all customers preorder their goods for pickup. Each week, the Main Street Farmers Market will send out an email listing ordering information, including that week's vendor lineup. You can contact each vendor individually to place your order then head down to the Chattanooga Brewing Company parking lot to retrieve your fresh foods on Wednesday.
2. Chattanooga Essentials Market – 1826 Carter St., Chattanooga, TN 37408
Although the
Chattanooga Essentials Market is now opening back up for pedestrian shopping, they have made some changes to enhance the safety of vendors and guests alike. Operating on Sundays from 10 AM to 2 PM, they will have a limited number of vendors spread out across the market. While there will still be vendors providing food and self-care items, there will not be live music, events, or on-site dining. If you're in the area shopping for Chattanooga homes for sale, we recommend that you pick up your goods and opt to enjoy them safely in a public park instead.
3. Ooltewah Farmers Market – 5829 Main Street, Ooltewah, TN 37363
Over the last five years, the
Ooltewah Farmers Market has been the year-round destination for fresh produce in Ooltewah. They are open from 3 PM to 6 PM each Thursday and encourage you to preorder your goods for pick up. If you would like to walk the market, be sure to practice social distancing, wear a mask, and point to the items you wish to purchase instead of touching them directly. With local food artisans on-site preparing other goodies like cupcakes and chocolates, you can grab a snack to take with you as you browse Ooltewah homes for sale.
4. Flat Top Farm Market – 13100 Jones-Gap Rd., Soddy Daisy, TN 37379
