2. Point Park - 110 Point Park Rd., Lookout Mountain, TN 37350

Making the (very) short trip from Chattanooga to Lookout Mountain will give you access to some of the most popular trails in the region. Point Park is located near Lookout Mountain homes for sale and provides the perfect backdrop for your next winter hike. While there are many connecting trails, the main loop at Point Park checks in at just under a mile, making it perfect for a quick morning adventure or a leisurely family hike.

3. Edward's Point - Cumberland Trail, Signal Mountain, TN 37377

Known for having some of the best views in the Chattanooga area, Edward's Point is connected to various trails near Signal Mountain homes for sale. The main trail lasts for about 6 miles round-trip, with a moderate difficulty level thanks to some climbs that will appeal to more experienced hikers. But you don't need to be an expert to enjoy the trip. Just leave some extra time in your schedule to climb the trail, and you'll be rewarded at the end with some of the best views in Tennessee.

4. Big Daddy Loop - Point Park Visitor Center, Lookout Mountain, TN 37350

Long a local favorite for hikers of all experience levels, the Big Daddy Loop is a true Chattanooga classic. The trail starts at Cravens House in Point Park, and the loop lasts for about 10 miles depending upon which trail you choose. Cravens House is a connecting point for a wide variety of local trails, so you may find yourself returning often.

5. Blue Blazes Trail - 409 Moccasin Bend Rd., Chattanooga, TN 37405

Traveling along an ancient shoreline in an area that has been inhabited by humans for more than 12,000 years, the Blue Blazes Trail offers a unique view of Chattanooga's distant past. Part of this trail travels along the Tennessee River, with the rest taking you through an ancient forest that has largely been preserved to the present day. It's a fairly short loop with a location very close to downtown Chattanooga, so it's a great choice for a family outing that won't take up your whole day.
